As a sole practitioner with over 30 years of experience, Steven R Jacob provides personal service without having the client’s communication diluted through legal assistants, paralegals or inexperienced associates. Current technology is used for the client’s convenience in providing data used to prepare court forms, to obtain credit counseling and financial education and in being advised of the case progress. The combination of personal service and the efficient process of documents and information are intended to ease the client’s path through a difficult time in their lives.

Background & Credentials

In 1974, prior to attending law school, Steven R Jacob received a Bachelor of Science degree from the State University of New York at Binghamton. He received a degree of Doctor of Jurisprudence from the University of Miami in 1977 and practiced law in Florida commencing in 1978 as an Assistant Attorney General for the State of Florida. In 1982 Mr. Jacob entered private practice and continued practicing in Florida until moving, with his wife and three children, to Georgia in 2000. His practice of divorce and bankruptcy law has continued there since that time.
